The vast majority of people with knee pain fully recover, and return to the activities they love to do. Similar to the hip, even in cases of significant knee arthritis, most people are able to improve to the point where they avoid or put off knee surgery such as knee replacement, and get back to their activities. Additionally, a big part of helping our clients involves improving HOW they do their activities, in order to minimize repetitive stress on their knees, thereby minimizing further pain, wear, and tear.
In more severe cases where surgery is being considered, we are often used to help patients and doctors in deciding if surgery may be needed, as well as in preparing patients for surgery by maximizing their range of motion, strength, and mobility, so it speeds up their recovery afterwards.
