Orthopedics and Sports Medicine

Orthopedics and sports medicine involve the identification, assessment, and correction of pain and disability that can result from everyday activity, occupational tasks or athletic endeavors.

Your physical therapist may use a variety of interventions to prevent and treat injuries related to these activities, which include but are not limited to: cardiovascular, resistance, endurance, and neuromuscular re-education programs, taping and bracing, sports and activity-specific regimens, manual physical therapy and orthopedic physical therapy.
